BULLRUNNERS WATCH OUT, IT’S FREAKIN ‘HOT’ OUT THERE!!!

My first real Bullrun experience… I was sittin in the backseat of an incredible new Audi RS4 with two excellent drivers; Bobby Singh from Manhattan Motorsports and Dan from NYC. This car whipped us around like beaten eggs, but this was all coming from the master-mind of the driver. Team Audi ‘Fortress’ is what I had stepped into here, loved the name… we were Fortress2 and their teammates were Fortress1; in an incredibly sexy new Audi R8. We flew to the head of the pack with their fantastic driving skills and strategies. I was learning how to use an HD Camera while tryin to film steadily and not fly out the window or break the thing… an interesting challenge.

Dan was driving and Bobby was a very efficient navigator, there were about five cars back-to-back and I know we didn’t go unnoticed… this ended up working against us. Although it was nice seeing the general public in utter amazement; staring and some with their jaws hanging open, the cops were hot on our tails. Since we were first in line and the ones clearing the way for all the other Bullrunners , we were first to get ‘chosen’. ha ha. Before I knew what was going on we were pulled over, and the cop was lecturing us about how the highway wasn’t a racetrack; “Now if it were up to me I’d take all of you in!! But the law says I can’t so I guess I’ll just write you a speeding ticket.” Luckily he was quicker than most cops and we were allowed on our merry way once again.

I had no idea where the Destination X TV vehicle was, I assumed they were somewhere far behind. I also didn’t know where Ashley Van Dyke and Spencer were… but I had a feeling they may be in front. The communication was excellent between all the Bullrun cars. It was very humbling to know that even though we all competed against each other, and at times became aggressive, in the end we were one big team/family… it was us against the Cops. It really was like a war, the police had all of our pictures (headshots) knew what cars we were all driving, and they even had our names. There were helicopters and unmarked cars like a disease. I didn’t actually meet one person that didn’t get pulled over!! They would all sit at the boarder of a city or state and wait for us to drive by… But the strategies and teamwork was astounding! The cars on the Bullrun in front would radio the cars in back and tell them where all the police were posted up. This helped everyone tremendously and probably saved a few licenses.

I was filming all the action when I got quite a disturbing call… “Put the tapes and cameras away!! The cops are pulling everyone over and taking all of our shit!!! EVERYTHING! Even the CAR!!” Oh man, this was bad news. They were all lined up and stopping anyone and everyone with Bullrun decals on their car…
