THURSDAY MORNING BULLRUN WAKE-UP MADNESS

I stumbled out of bed at a whopping 6:30 am, grouchy, hungry and sleepless. We had a 7:40 very important meeting with the Bullrunners (hahah) outside the Sofitel Hotel in Beverly hills, California. Arriving a little early, we all took advantage of the hidden coffee stand; our elixir of morning life… in which some of us injured our tongue on :-P The entourage started to arrive, cameras were rolling, the engines were revving and the Bullrunners were gettin antsy. This is when I remembered that adrenaline is 100X better than any kind of caffeine and I need not worry, wake-up was just around the corner…

The cars all took off at 8am sharp, followed by a helicopter for a birds-eye camera angle. We had already jumped in the Destination X TV jeep and drove away (I was really starting to get the hang of it by now). The cars went whizzing by us on the road and I figured they would just time-travel to our WestCoast Customs pit-stop in Pomona, CA. This is where we met up with Big Dane (he started West Coast Customs) and his posse. They treated us well, Big Dane got his team to wash the cars-in-need, and had a homely Bar-B-Q for us to enjoy in the back. He has some incredible artists that produced some very stylish graffiti on all the walls and trucks… coming from a family of artists; I was impressed.

It was another car-show, all of the Bullrunners high-tech cutting-edge evolution of automotives, and WestCoast had some really tricked out cars from all years, completely re-built and supped up. What a sight that was. Press and pictures were the subject of the pit-stop, along with as many energy drinks we could consume in an hour… this left me feeling a little nauseous, especially when I was embedded in one of the most bass-ass Audi’s I’d ever seen. This was driven by Bobby Singh founder of Manhattan Motorsports and Dan from NYC. They were a little hesitant to let me in at first… I didn’t realize this was because they had been the winning team since Calgary, I suppose they didn’t want me revealing their secrets to victory.

I jumped in the car, camera equipped. Everyone started to line up in a flash, just before we all took off Dan says, “I hope you don’t have to use the restroom for the next SIX hours, cuz we arn’t stoppin.” Ugh, my stomach dropped and I had a slight panic. Damn, I just drank all these Rockstar energy drinks that had been handed out like candy, and I was still a little hungover from Vegas… the combination was a little bubbily. But before I could blink I was slammed to the back of the seat by acceleration and horsepower, and suddenly forgot all about the sickly feeling…

Ashley Van Dyke and Vincent took off with the pack and were soon in first place, she was hauling her cute behind all the way to the finish line, this is until…
